2013 Audio Contest Winner: Anna Vodicka
As we hurry to finish our last-minute costumes, we at the TMR Podcast wanted to share an early Halloween goody with our wonderful listeners: Anna Vodicka’s excellent “In Search of Magic Kingdoms,” which was the winner of our 2013 Audio Contest in the prose category.
Anna Vodicka’s essays have appeared in Brevity, Guernica, The Iowa Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Ninth Letter, Shenandoah, and other national literary magazines. She received an MFA from the University of Idaho, and is a grant recipient of Artist Trust, the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies, and the Idaho Potato Commission. She is about to spend a year living and writing in Western Micronesia, where she hopes to capture the sounds of ocean waves and macaque monkeys while she finishes a memoir about rural America, faith and family. You can find more of her work at www.annavodicka.com.
