2013 Audio Contest Winner: Laurel Bastian
As the fall chill begins to creep in, here at the TMR Podcast we’re staying warm by snuggling up with some amazing audio from the winners of our 2013 Audio Contest. On today’s podcast, we’re excited to present Laurel Bastian’s “We All Want Out of This Play,” which was our winner in the poetry category.
Laurel Bastian was a Halls Emerging Artist Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute of Creative Writing, holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is the founder of the Writers in Prisons Project. Her poetry has appeared in Drunken Boat, Puerto Del Sol, Cream City Review, Fugue, and other publications. She works in civil rights enforcement and lives, with her husband, in Madison, Wisconsin.
