This week on The Missouri Review Soundbooth Podcast we are excited to feature the first of our runners up of the  2016 Miller Audio Prize Contest.  The runner up audio documentary submission was Julia Duba’s “South Florida’s Graffiti Problem in the ‘90s Had an Emblem: Crook Crime.”  You can read the original story here!

Julia Duba is a Miami native. She graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s in journalism. When she graduated from FIU, she interned with WLRN Public Radio, South Florida’s NPR affiliate, in the summer of 2013. Duba went on to report and produce local stories for WLRN and NPR shows. She’s now an associate producer at WPLG Local 10 – South Florida’s ABC affiliate.

In the coming weeks we’ll be featuring the rest of our runners up.  And don’t forget about our fall Contest, the Jeffrey E. Smith Editor’s Prize, with winners in the categories of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction each receiving an award of $5,000!
