Contest Season!
It’s that time of the year, when a young writer’s thoughts turn to $3,000 cash prizes. You only have four more weeks to polish off those manuscripts and get them in the mail for the 16th annual Jeffrey E. Smith Editor’s Prizes at The Missouri Review. We’re giving away $3,000 each to the first place winners in the categories of fiction, poetry, and essay!
As the clock ticks down over the next handful of weeks to the October 1st deadline, we’ll be sharing some of our thoughts about contests. First, we have Bern Mulvey explaining “Five Easy Ways to Lose a Poetry Contest.”
