AnnElise Hatjakes

AnnElise Hatjakes holds an MFA degree in fiction and a master’s degree in writing from the University of Nevada-Reno. Her stories have been short-listed for the Neil Shephard Prize in Fiction and the Curtis Johnson Prize. Her work appears in several journals, including JukedBullTahoma Literary Review, and Typehouse. She is currently completing revisions on her novel and short story collection while pursuing a PhD in creative writing at the University of Missouri as a Francis Fellow. She started as an intern with the Missouri Review in 2021 and assumed the role of contest editor in February of 2022.
