Brenda Hillman
Hillman has published seven collections of poetry, including Bright Existence (1993), Loose Sugar (1997), and, most recently, Pieces of Air in the Epic (2005), all published by Wesleyan University Press. She has also written three chapbooks, edited an edition of Emily Dickinson’s poetry, and co-edited the book The Grand Permission: New Writings on Poetics and Motherhood (2003) with Patricia Dienstfrey. Hillman serves as Olivia Filippi Professor of Poetry at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California.
