Previous Contest Winners
With the October 15 postmark deadline for this year’s Editors’ Prize Contest just over three weeks away, we feature the trio of winners from 2000: the Austin Ratner short story, “Nine Worthy and the Best That Ever Were“; Danielle Ofri’s essay, “Merced“; and Martin Scott’s poetry feature, including “The Isenheim Resurrection,” “Cemetery By the Deer Blind,” “Richard Mather Aboard the James, 1635,” and “Chrome Horse.” Each piece originally appeared in The Missouri Review 24:1 (2001).
