Writers Weighing In
The current, charged debate over the moral and legal implications of same-sex marriage has already yielded one concrete result: a lot of very good writers are making their voices heard. I particularly admired Anna Quindlen’s essay in the Feb 23 issue of Newsweek. Most recently, George Saunders, one of the wittier and more comical short-story writers working today, weighs in with a “modest-proposal” style essay.
