Literature and my life
I couldn’t quite think of anything today dealing with up and coming author or novel, being as I’m in the middle of reading one and haven’t finished it yet. Today I’m trying to decipher what I’m going to do with a degree in English. My latest fancy has been to travel and teach English abroad. I think China will have the most to give me at this time in my life. The cultural and historical background of that country is just amazing beyond belief.
Standing on the great wall is so inspiring, albeit cold at times, that it makes you want to join the people along the wall with a piece of charcoal and an old piece of recycled newspaper to draw upon. I hope that I will be able to cross the boundaries between that culture and mine and share with the people there my love for writing and history. We will have to see how it all goes.
