Ellen Orner is a writer and editor from Gary, Indiana. Since graduating from Valparaiso University she has worked in publishing and communications strategy at the University of Montana, University of Tennessee, Stephens College, and Mizzou. She has done volunteer editorial work for The Bloomsbury Review, Valparaiso Fiction Review, Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts, and Sundress Publications’ Best of the Net. She began as TMR‘s associate editor in 2025. Ellen lives in Columbia, Missouri, with her husband, Jeremy Michael Reed, and daughter Adria.
