The William Peden Prize

The William Peden Prize is awarded annually by the Missouri Review. The prize, given in memory of Dr. William Harwood Peden, a professor of English at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1946 to 1979 and co-founder of the Missouri Review, recognizes the best piece of fiction from among those published within our pages over the previous volume year, as determined by an outside judge.
